GO-AHEAD Association, in partnership with Neamț County School Inspectorate and Suceava School Association for Education and Development with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021, conducted within EDURIGHTS4GIRLS - Equal access to education project a STUDY ON THE CURRENT SITUATION OF GENDER RIGHTS AND EQUALITY, PROBLEMS OF GENDER DISCRIMINATION IN SUCEAVA AND NEAMȚ COUNTIES.
The study was developed in two parts. The first part was completed in May 2021 and includes a preliminary analysis of the needs of students, teachers, parents regarding the fight against discrimination and stereotypes in education. The second part is the final study, which also contains a new section with the students’ feedback from the 15 high schools involved in the project. The aim of the last part is to create an accurate picture of the impact of the project, but also to carry out two SWOT analyses on the situation of addressing gender issues in Neamț and Suceava counties.
Together with the debates held with education professionals, the study represents the starting points for monitoring, advocacy and implementation reports on gender equality policies and legislation and action plans, according to the needs of each county involved.
